Year 4 has started its first IPC unit, ‘Material World’! We have conducted experiments exploring different materials… Testing which spoon conducted heat most efficiently by adding a dab of butter as the spoons stood in hot water - the butter soon slid off the metal spoon! We also thought about reversible and irreversible changes… water can change to solid ice and melt again back to water but once heated a liquid egg becomes solid and cannot be changed back again. Better to eat, though!
