At ISF Waterloo, selected volunteers and student interns can be a welcome resource, complementing teachers' and support staff's work.

Primary School

The International School of Flanders (ISF) is a small, vibrant and friendly school with two campuses, in Waterloo and Tervuren, catering for young people aged 2½ to 18. ISF is a CIS and COBIS accredited school.   

We currently have approximately 300 students across both campuses; from 52 different nationalities. Our small class sizes; ensure personal attention to the development of each individual child. 

We are currently looking for Primary School Teachers for our Waterloo campus.

  • The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with an energy and passion for planning and delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent results for students, instilling a love for learning. 

The ideal candidates will:

  • Possess a teaching qualification

  • Experience with teaching a Primary class

  • Right to live and work in Belgium

  • Be able to teach in a multilingual and multicultural classroom environment

  • Uphold ISF's values and mission 

  • Embrace the Google for Education learning platform (training will be provided) 

  • Knowledge of the IPC curriculum is an advantage

Secondary

We are currently looking for Secondary Teachers for our Waterloo campus.:

1. A qualified and experienced English teacher (full-time)

2. Lower Secondary Science and IGCSE/A-Level Chemistry teacher (0.8 FTE)

The successful candidates will be outstanding teachers with energy and passion, skilled at planning and delivering high-quality lessons and a proven record of achieving excellent results for students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.

  • Experience with teaching Cambridge IGCSE/A Levels

The International School of Flanders seeks a full-time School Secretary/ Marketing and Social Media liaison to commence immediately

The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the busy school office. His/her duties will include, but not limited to: welcoming visitors, handling incoming calls, dealing with incoming/outgoing emails, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, organising bus routes, checking attendance, imputing student data into the management system etc. He/she will also be responsible for assisting the Head with ad-hoc tasks.

In the role of marketing and social media liaison, the candidate will be responsible for marketing materials, organising events and all the social media posts for the whole school.   

The ideal candidate will: 

  • have a perfect knowledge of English (oral and written), French and Dutch are a plus

  • have a keen eye for detail

  • have excellent computer skills, knowledge of Google environment is an advantage

  • be communicative, be able to multitask and have strong interpersonal skills

  • be flexible, adaptive and approachable

  • have creative problem-solving skills and be a team player
