7th June 2018 18:30 - 20:30

ISF Waterloo would like to invite you to the final presentation in our series of inspirational and educational talks on Thursday, 7 June at 18:30.

We are delighted to have Stan Boland, co-founder and CEO of Five AI Inc., come to present a fascinating discussion on 'The Future of Driverless Vehicles - Artificial Intelligence, obstacles and achievements'.  This promises to be one of the highlights of this year and we hope to see many of you there.  Of course, please feel free to bring along your friends and colleagues as we are sure this will be of interest to many people.  Please see below for a short biography on Stan Boland.
Stan is co-founder and CEO of FiveAl Inc., a venture-backed company developing a safe urban autonomous vehicle platform that it will deliver as a consumer service.  Five AI’s solution was awarded a record $15M in grant money from the UK government, is partnered with Transport for London and recently raised a $18M Series A round.
Stan was co-founder and CEO of two of Europe’s most successful communications silicon and software companies, Element 14 and Icera, one bought by Broadcom and the other by NVIDIA, for an aggregate value of over $1 billion. Before that he was CEO at computer pioneer Acorn and a Board member at ARM.  His early career includes spells at the aerospace firm Rolls-Royce and computer company ICL (now Fujitsu Services).
He graduated in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge.

Don't hesitate to contact the school office should you have any questions.  We look forward to welcoming you on June 7!
